BCS Estimating

This program was created by a friend of ours. After purchasing and trying to use those high-dollar programs, he decided to make his approach available to others. It’s an Excel-based estimating approach that is the easiest ‘program’ to learn and use on the market. Even I could quickly figure it out!

Create the Material Takeoffs and cost estimate of your project in ONE simple "Fill one cell" operation.

It has never been so easy, and yet, accurate to perform these tasks.

Discover in minutes, how many anchor bolts, sheets of gypsum, etc. your project will require, AND the cost of them AND the estimated cost of labor...

Establish, in no time, the cost of your project

Fill out in a very easy way the cost estimated of your project as required by the lending institution.

Find out at your fingertips the cost of these materials and the cost of labor you need for ANY PROJECT SIZE

Compare one system with other and save: i.e. are blocks cheaper than poured concrete for a type of foundation?
Should I frame my interior walls at 16" O.C. or 24" O.C.? What’s my saving from one option versus an other... Answer In minutes.

In addition: Adjust unit MATERIAL cost and LABOR cost to your area.

You have full control on each component: You select at your discretion. No software involved... You can perform your material takeoffs right away - There is no waste of time trying to figure out how a software works... The program is built with Excel from Microsoft. A guarantee of no "Bugs".

FOR ANY SIZE PROJECT:
With our master cost Estimating program, you will be able to get the
breakdown of material and the cost in the following areas:

Foundation System (You choose from 13 different type of foundation system).

  • 24" H poured concrete - 16" X 8" Footing
  • 24" H Blocks - 16" X 8" Footing
  • 42" H poured concrete - 16" X 10" Frost Footing
  • 42" H Blocks - 16" X 10" Frost Footing
  • Monolithic - 4" slab
  • Basement - blocks - 8 feet H -Slab on Grade
  • Basement - Poured - 8 feet H -Slab on Grade
  • 4'-0 H Poured + 4'-0 Studs + 4" Slab
  • 4'-0 H CMU + 4'-0 Studs + 4" Slab
  • 9'-0 H CMU + 4" Slab
  • 9'-0 H x 8" Poured + 4" Slab
  • 12” Piers w/Concrete Beam
  • 2’ x 2’ Piers w/Curtain Wall

Floor System. (You choose any combination: Slab and/or floor joists).

  • 4" slab
  • 11 7/8" I joist floor system joists.
  • Generate all components: linear feet of joist including rim joist and/or all details for a slab

Exterior Walls (You choose from 4 options. All components are included)

  • 2 X 6" @ 16" O.C - 8' ceiling, w/siding
  • 2 X 4" @ 16" O.C - 8' ceiling, w/siding
  • 2 X 6" @ 16" O.C - 9' ceiling, w/siding
  • 2 X 6" @ 16" O.C - 8’ ceiling, w/stucco
  • 2 x 6” @ 16” O.C. - 8’ ceiling, w/brick veneer

Generate all components: Linear feet of: fir plate, fir stud, siding. Sheets of Plywood or OSB. Square feet of wrap. Linear feet of gutter, ridge, caproofing, number of roof sheathing - trusses - Linear feet of fir gable fascia, eave fascia metal drip, edge downspout.
Ceiling insulation - floor insulation - wall insulation - Carpet - Sheets of Sheetrock - Linear feet of base molding

Interior Walls (You choose from 2 options)

  • 2 x 4 @ 16” O.C.
  • 2 x 4 @ 24" O.C
  • Produce linear feet of plates, number of studs; Number of sheets of sheetrock, Base Molding and Paint/Finish for both sides.

Roof

  • 6/12 Pitch
  • 12/12 Pitch

Input of Other Components.
We provide a list (Input) for areas that only you can fill out

  • Deck
  • Flooring
  • Electrical
  • Heating/Cooling
  • Plumbing
  • Windows
  • Interior Doors
  • Exterior Doors
  • Beams
  • and 37+ other items

And get the cost estimate in ALL PHASES of the construction process: Foundation, Walls, Components, Sheetrock, Electrical, etc. In 30 Minutes or less!

All you need is the following information:

  1. The square footage of your project (Area supported with a foundation system.)
  2. Linear feet of the interior walls
  3. Linear feet of the exterior walls

We provide "How to" instructions to use the program, a extremely easy step-by-step process. FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, WE DO INDICATE THE COST PER UNIT (NATIONAL AVERAGE). WE UPDATE ON A REGULAR BASIS.

Even if your construction experience is limited, Material Takeoffs and cost estimating has never been so EASY and EFFICIENT. With any building configuration.

  1. Select the type of foundation
  2. Check, adjust, if needed, the unit cost (Material and labor) for your area. (If you perform the work yourself, just inter 0 in the labor multiplier)
  3. Insert your multiplier in the column.

THIS IS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO. The "BCS Smart Template" generates automatically all the quantities and cost.
